There are many other pests that live similar lives and cause similar or worse damage to crops than gophers. Ground squirrels and prairie dogs cause major damage in many areas of the country. GopherOut has been proven to be an effective deterrent to these animals in studies done in the field.
Although the GopherOut formula was developed to help small growers and gardeners with their gopher problems, it can be used on a large scale also as many of our customers are doing.
But recent studies and customer experiments have also proven that the formula works on fruit trees to prevent many problems like scale, various moths and their eggs, caterpillars, and powdery mildew. We are currently working on refining the formula to be more effective in those specific areas and plan to introduce this formula in the coming spring months.
We believe that the same principles apply to fruit tree applications that have been successful in gopher deterrent. Namely, make the environment unsupportive of certain necessities of life for pests and pathogens.
We have also been conducting studies in our fields on tomatoes, artichokes, and other vegetables in the common small garden..
When there is so much food being grown in a contained area, it attracts and provides nourishment for many pests. A balanced garden is the best formula for a productive garden. Harsh chemicals and sprays impact all garden life but our products do not. They have specific targets. For example, no effect on bees or other pollinating insects has been seen in our tests. In fact, pollination is more complete in the environment using our products
Our research has been concentrating on the most common problems for gardeners and small growers. Some vegetables and plants have fewer problems and less disease than other species. And we have left some of those out of our studies
We plan to include more ornamental plants into our test beds in the next few months like zinnias, roses, and petunias as our customers have expressed solutions for the problems associated with those plants.
We have also noticed that GopherOut repels ants, spiders, scorpions, and other household insects so we will be marketing products to address those also.
We will be notifying our customers of the new products in the next few months.
